American's Would Elect Romney Over Obama in "Do-Over"

web posted July 29, 2014

NATIONAL A recent CNN poll found that if the election of 2012 was held today, Gov. Mitt Romney would win by a 9 point margin. Pres. Obama won reelection by a 51% majority, but the poll, released on Monday, shows Obama gaining the support of only 44 percent of the voters.

CNN calls the results "shocking", but does their best to calm panicked Obama supporters by claiming the poll, unlike all their other polls, should be "taken with a grain of salt".

According to CNN, the poll "shows Romney topping Obama in a re-election rematch by a whopping nine-point margin, 53 percent to 44 percent. That's an even larger spread than CNN found in November, when a survey had Romney winning a redo 49 percent to 45 percent."

Obama's approval rating has dropped to 39%, according to a recent Gallop Daily report.
