Obama’s refusal to produce birth certificate festers
web
posted December 4, 2008
WASHINGTON D.C. – Though the push for soon
to be President-elect Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate to
prove he is an American born citizen got very little attention during
the campaign from the national media, and even dismissed as “conspiracy
theory” at times, it is now gaining a footing in major news
organizations. The tipping point seems to be that Sen. Obama failed to
meet the deadline to file an answer to a suit filed with the United
States Supreme Court challenging him to produce his actual birth
certificate.
Though most of the “mainstream media” was blatantly fawning over Obama
during the election, even they have now begun to question why he would
continue to fight the mounting number of lawsuits rather than just
release the original document.
Edwin Vieira, a constitutional lawyer who has practiced for 30 years
and holds four degrees from Harvard, told the Philadelphia
Bulletin, “If he were my client and this question came up in civil
litigation, if there was some reason that his birth status was relevant
and the other side wanted him to produce the thing and he said 'no,' I
would tell him, 'you have about 15 minutes to produce it or sign the
papers necessary to produce the document, or I'm resigning as your
attorney," said Mr. Vieira. "I don't think any ethical attorney would
go ahead on the basis that his client could produce an objective
document in civil litigation [and refused to do so].”
Sen. Obama’s website, FightTheSmears.com
has published a Certificate of Live Birth, not a Birth Certificate (two
different documents), that has raised more questions than answers.
The “vaulted” copy of an actual live birth in the state of Hawaii would
include the hospital, the name of the attending physician, the home
address and occupation of mother and father, and a wide array of other
verifiable information.
Among the information contained would be the race of the parents.
According to the claimed “Certificate of Live Birth” dated in 1961, it
lists Barack Hussein Obama Sr.’s race as “African” rather than “Negro”
which was used in 1961. In addition, “African” is a citizenship, not a
race.
At the far bottom left hand corner of the proposed original
“Certificate of Live Birth” issued in 1961 is the following, C(HBM 1.1
[Rev 11/01] LASER.
Laser documents were not invented, much less used, in 1961, as many
have
documented.
As the controversy grows, a gathering of U.S. Supreme Court judges will
meet on Dec. 5 to decide whether or not to hear a case from New Jersey,
and a decision is still pending on a case from a lawyer in
Pennsylvania. Should four of the judges vote to hear the case in the
Dec. 5 meeting, it will then be scheduled for hearings. Court cases
from Connecticut and New York have also applied for hearings at the
U.S. Supreme Court.
There are also over a dozen lawsuits pending to prevent the Electoral
College from casting their votes to elect the president next week.
The vast majority of lawsuits that are filed challenging Sen. Obama’s
citizenship come from Democrat controlled states, and many are filed by
registered Democrats.
