County removes ban of Edgefield Daily.com from government computers

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted July 6, 2005

Edgefield Daily.com appeared before the Edgefield County Council to address the self imposed ban on Edgefield Daily.com by Administrator Wayne Adams.

As we reported on earlier, Administrator Wayne Adams personally did not like the information that was being provided to residents and most importantly employees of Edgefield County government. We had placed calls to two sitting councilmen to resolve the situation and avoid legal actions which were already being prepared by our legal department.

Chairman Monroe Kneece stated in the council meeting that the filters had been removed and Edgefield Daily.com, “was up and running, you are live,” on county computers again.

Edgefield Daily.com thanks the council for their quick action to rectify, once again, actions by the administrator that go beyond his authority. Notably Councilman Everett Kitchens for his assurance that the matter would be resolved at once, which it was.
