Winner announced in Wandering Minds Photo Caption Contest

web posted July 16, 2007

WEBNEWS – The winner of the Wandering Minds photo caption contest has been confirmed after several rounds of judging. Connie Underwood of Edgefield took top honors and $25 with the caption “How long did 205 say we had to hold this thing up?” EdgefieldDaily.com would like to thank all those who submitted entries in the contest; some gave us all quite a laugh. Below are some of the other entries that made it to the final round of judging.

Storm windows or double pane?

"Ya know, you'll regret smiling at the camera.  This will be on the internet with a story behind why we're just standing around with you smiling."

I told you not to roast any more marshmallows!"

...then she said, "you sure do look sexy in that fire gear Mr. Fireman".

Raise your hand if you're sure!

A well deserved rest for America’s best.

It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it.

Editor’s contributions:

“I’m not saying she’s a bad cook, but the chief said she was just making sandwiches.”

“Yeah, it needs a little work… but just look at the view!”

“I don’t know, from this angle it doesn’t look all that bad.”
