EdgefieldDaily.com to address County Council web posted July 28, 2006 WEBNEWS – EdgefieldDaily.com’s Editor has contacted Edgefield County Councilman Joel Hudson in order to be added to the agenda of the August 8 County Council meeting. Last week Administrator Wayne Adams published two articles in area papers misinforming residents on issues surrounding his actions and those of his office. A letter demanding a retraction of those statements was hand delivered to the County Council’s clerk, Barbara Stark. The Council, and Administrator Adams, refused to respond. Councilman Hudson confirmed Thursday night that the addition to the agenda has been made to address two issues, “Actions of the Administrator” and “Inactions of the County Council”. The Edgefield County Council has a duty and legal obligation to act upon information provided to them. Failing to uphold the duties of their office could have serious repercussions. Administrator Adams is now in the process of attempting to have access to EdgefieldDaily.com removed from county computers, including those in the offices of elected officials. The Edgefield County Council nor Wayne Adams has any authority over elected offices or their employees. That point aside, the statements made by Edgefield County Administrator Wayne Adams are inescapable and the Edgefield County Council will have no choice but to deal with them. For
