Stark follows Adams' personal vendetta against EdgefieldDaily.com in his absence web posted September 21, 2006 WEBNEWS – EdgefieldDaily.com has, over the past two years, made several written, personal, and e-mail requests to be listed on the county’s “press room” web page and to be advised of county meetings and announcements. Of course with former County Administrator Wayne Adams’ long personal grudge against the Editor, the legal obligation to do so has been long ignored, just as complaints to the Edgefield County Council has allowed them to be. Now that Mr. Adams has left the county, interim administrator Barbara Stark was contacted to make the required changes. In an e-mail to Mrs. Stark requesting to be added to the county’s web page of local media she replied, “At the present time there are no news media links on Edgefield County's web site and there are no plans to add any.” EdgefieldDaily.com wrote back stating that in fact there was such a page and had to provide the link to Clerk to Council and duel office interim administrator Stark proving what was on the county web site. Clerk to Council/Administrator Stark then wrote back that it was an honest mistake and that our request would have to be made to the County Council. So, EdgefieldDaily.com did some checking and found that no other news outlet has ever made a request to be listed on the media page. Besides holding duel offices (which is not allowed) Mrs. Stark has proven that she intends to continue the personal vendetta against EdgefieldDaily.com’s Editor in Mr. Adams’ absence. Mrs. Stark was informed to do her job forthwith. We will wait a few days before pressing the issue and making yet another complaint against the personnel of the Administration Office for failure to follow the law and the County Councils “persistent neglect of duty” to control their appointees and employees, as required. It is also interesting that Mrs. Stark’s e-mail address is published on the web site with an invalid address making e-mail sent to her to be returned. Luckily EdgefieldDaily.com was able to obtain her rightful address to make contact. Perhaps since the county uses the second highest bidder for IT services the overpaid company can make the proper corrections to the web site. Maybe not. For
