One injured in violent crash web posted June 21, 2007 When deputies arrived they found the car hidden in the woods severely damaged and no occupants. A child safety seat was in the back of the car and the entire roof of the car had been flattened in the crash. This lead deputies to begin searching the area for the driver, and possibly a child passenger, that may have been ejected in the crash. A check of local hospitals found that the driver had been driven to the Greenwood Regional Hospital and walked in to the Emergency Room for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. His condition and identity were not released. There were no other occupants in the car at the time of the crash. Wrecker workers had to cut several trees down in order to pull the car from the woods. Officers and others on the scene were stunned that the driver survived the crash due to the extent of the damage done to the driver’s compartment. For
