While the deputy was investigating the theft Saluda County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol notified the Edgefield County Sheriff’s office that a truck matching the description had been found wrecked in Saluda County early Sunday morning. According the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office the truck hit a telephone pole and several peach trees between Ward and Ridge Spring on Highway 23 and was heavily damaged.
