Northside Home Hit for $12,800 in Stolen Property
web posted September 5, 2012
NORTHSIDE – Thieves struck a White Dansby
Road property stealing nearly $13,000 in property from around the home
including a camper, tractor, and much more. The owner, who lives in
Georgia, reported the thefts Friday evening after checking on his
property.
According to an incident report, the thefts are believed to have taken
place over the past few months and no evidence was able to be collected
at the scene.
A list of the items stolen and their values are listed below. The owner
was unable to provide serial numbers for the property at the time of
report, but would provide them after returning to his home in Georgia
where the information is kept in order to aid investigators.
Items included a 1985 16 foot white and green striped camper valued at
$2,000, a 16 foot white utility trailer valued at $500, a 1979 "Smokey"
white with brown stripe trailer valued at $2,000, a gray 1986 Ford 4x4
truck with a red stripe valued at $2,500, a 1974 green John Deere 830
tractor valued at $4,000, a 4-foot bush hog valued at $1,000, an orange
fertilizer spreader valued at $500, and a Whitetail tree stand valued
at $300.
The total value is estimated at $12,800.
It is believed that the person or persons responsible used the power
lines to access the property to steal the items undetected.
The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigative Division
for follow up.
