Mr. Gene (Pnut) Baston web posted November 12, 2011 JOHNSTON – Mr. Gene (Pnut) Baston , age 68, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mr. Baston was a native of Appling, GA and was the son of the late Ernest W. and Frances Averett Baston. He served in the US Air Force and retired from a life of construction work. Survivors include nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters: Adele Adams, Faye Martin; brothers: Pierce, Estes, Billy, Carl, and Jack Baston.. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bland Funeral Home is assisting the family, James and Teresa Baston of 623 Duncan Road, Johnston, with arrangements.
