Virgil Brady Brunson

EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Virgil Brady Brunson, 83, of Edgefield, died Thursday April 2, 2009 at Edgefield County Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday April 5, 2009 at 3 P.M. at Edgefield First Baptist Church with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. prior to the service at the Church.

Mrs. Brunson was a native of Edgefield County and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She was a Lifelong Sunday School Teacher and a Homemaker. Mrs. Brunson was a member of the D. A. R. and the Les Dames Des Fleurs Garden Club.

Survivors include 5 Children- George Randolph Speight, Jr., Charlie Harvey Speight, II, Samuel Brady Speight, Thomas Daniel (Todd) Brunson and Charlotte  Ann Seawright; 3 Step-Children- Gerry Brunson, Harold (Bill) Brunson, Ed Brunson; 1 Sister and Best Friend- Beth Brady Feagle, 12 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Nephew- Joe Brice Feagle, III.

Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 624 Edgefield, S.C. 29824.

The family is at the home of her son Samuel Brady Speight on Pine Knoll Lane in Edgefield.

The family wishes to express it’s gratitude to the staff of Edgefield County Hospital & Dr. Beth Gordineer for their Extraordinary professionalism and special personnel support and interest.

Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
