Mayson Burtonweb posted August 14, 2008 EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Susan Mayson Burton, 75, wife of the late Hugh Burton, of Burton Rd., died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Self Regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 11 A.M. at Gilgal Baptist Church. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Mrs. Burton was a native of McCormick County. She was a member of Gilgal Baptist Church and a retired secretary. Survivors include one daughter- Lynda B. Richard, Greenwood; 2 sons, Rick Burton, Pat Burton, both of Edgefield; 3 grandchildren- Jamie Vinson, Eric Burton, Sullivan Richard; 2 great-grandchildren, Mayson and Jace; 1 sister, Irene Ellis, Abbeville; 1 brother, Freddie Mayson, Greenville. She was predeceased by a son Sullivan Burton. The family is at the home and will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. ©
