Claude Curtis Bussey

EDGEFIELD – Mr. Claude Curtis Bussey, 77, husband of Doris McDaniel Bussey, of Hwy 23 West died Wednesday 9/10/08 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday 9/13/08 at 11:00 Am at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Masonic Rites and Full Military Honors.

Mr. Bussey was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church were he served as a deacon. He was employed with Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home for 21 years. He was retired from CSX Railroad with 35 years and retired First SGT. of the S.C. Army National Guard with 34 years. He was a Master Mason, Scottish Rites and Shriner of Jamill Temple.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons- Terry Bussey, Gracewood, GA; Ronnie (Andrea) Bussey, North Augusta; 2 sisters- Ann Griffiths, Carlton, GA; Helen McCloud, North Augusta; 1 brother- Conrad (Joyce) Bussey; Moody, AL.

Honorary Pallbearers will be deacon of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to The Brotherhood of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 183 Edgefield, SC 29824.

The family is at the home and receive friends Friday 9/11/08 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
