Raymond Covar

EDGEFIELD – Mr. Raymond Covar, 72, of Bausket St., husband of Emma Griffis Covar, died Wednesday July 29, 2009.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 1, 2009 at 11 A.M. at Berea Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Covar was born in Edgefield, S.C. and was a member of Berea Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He Retired as the Public Works Director for the Town of Edgefield with 23 years service. He served The Edgefield Fire Dept. with 26 years service retiring as Fire Inspector.

Survivors include his wife, 2 Sons- Thomas Covar, Dan (Catherine) Covar, both of Edgefield. 1 Sister- Nell Shaffer, Edgefield.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
