JOHNSTON – Funeral services for William Earl Crim, age 70, will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Johnston First Baptist Church at 2pm with interment to follow in Mt. of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Bland Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Johnston First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 700 Church St. , Johnston, SC 29832 or to the Johnston Food Bank c/o Mrs. Anna Timmerman, 334 Woodridge Road, Edgefield, SC 29824. Mr. Crim, a native of Johnston, died Sunday, February 15, 2009. He was a son of the late William Carson and Frances Angell Grant Crim. Mr. Crim was a retired truck driver with Kimberly-Clark, was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of American Legion Post 154, The Sons of the Confederacy, and a member of Johnston First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Eleanor Priest Crim; sons: Gene (Pam) Crim, Wagener and Michael (Cynthia) Crim, Edgefield; brother: Johnny (Debbie) Crim, Johnston; Aunts: Mary and Doris Grant and Victoria Ponder; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death my a brother, Carson Eugene Crim.
