Mrs. Myrtice Thigpen Dye web posted October 27, 2008 EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Myrtice Thigpen Dye, 81, of Rainsford Rd., wife of the late Raymond Dye, died Sunday October 26, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 10-28-08 at 11 A.M. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Dye was born in Gibson, Ga. And was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. She was a Homemaker. Survivors include 4 Daughters- Sarah (Chic) Morris, Betty (Harry) Miller, both of Edgefield, Opal (Charles) Chalker, Swainsboro, Ga., Joyce Nabors, Greenwood. 2 Sons- Ralph (Cathy) Byrd, Graniteville, Roger (Ann) Dye, Forsythe, Ga. 1 Sister- Leslie Guy, Evans, Ga. 19 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great- Great- Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Sweetwater Baptist Church building fund 198 Sweetwater Rd. North Augusta, S.C. 29860. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Cliff Hensley, Ryan Collins, Ben Rocker, Jamie Byrd, John Martin. The family is at the home on Rainsford Rd. and will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home ©
