Byron "Steve" Fredericks web posted December 8, 2009 MARTINEZ, Ga – Entered into rest December 5, 2009 at his residence, Mr. Byron "Steve" Fredericks, 59, husband of Mrs. Joy Fredericks for forty years. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 6 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Timothy L. Owings officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation after the service till 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Steve was born in Augusta, Ga. and was a salesman for United Distributors. He served with honor in the U.S. Army. He was a loving father to his sons and a loving "Pa Pa" to his grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, the late Frances Johnson. Survivors include: wife, Joy Fredericks; father, Alton G. Fredericks; two sons Steve Fredericks and wife Kristin, Daniel Fredericks and wife Heather Renz; three brothers, Randy Fredericks, Clark Fredericks, Alton Fredericks; two sisters, Cathy Ford, Valerie Landrum; four grandchildren, Madie Long, Simon Long, Harper Fredericks, and Eliot Fredericks.
