Lona Mealing Freeman web posted December 15, 2011 EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Lona Mealing Freeman, 94, entered into rest December 11, 2011. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Bro. Thomas Jackson, IV officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Survivors include two daughters, Lena Bannister, Janie (Robert) Holmes, Edgefield; two sons, Eddie (Georgia) Freeman, Edgefield, Johnnie (Vurnell) Freeman, North Augusta; five sisters, Jannie Quarles, Edgefield, Lillie M. Abrams, Augusta, Susie L. Mealing, Hattie Lee Mealing, North Augusta, Fannie Knight, Trenton; 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
