Marcus Anthony Gilchrist

SALUDA – Marcus Anthony Gilchrist, 23, of 105 Bittersweet Drive, died on May 7, 2011 from injuries sustain in an automobile accident. Born in Augusta, Ga., son of Illie Gilchrist, Jr., and Syneta Settles Gilchrist. He was a member of the Liberty Spring Baptist and employed by Eaton. Survivors include his father, Greenwood, SC and. mother of McCormick; finance, Charnitica Holloway and son Kaleb Gilchrist, Saluda, SC; brother, Kelvin Settles, Allendale, SC; sister, Sheneque Gilchrist, McCormick, SC; maternal grandmother, Magie Settles, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gilchrist, paternal great grandmother, Jessie Gilchrist all of Edgefield, SC; and other relatives. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Liberty Spring Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Henry Merriweather, burial will follow in church cemetery. Butler & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
