Gartrell (Pee Wee) Hamby

SALUDA Graveside Services for Mr. Gartrell (Pee Wee) Hamby, age 87, will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 pm. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home in Johnston from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service.

Mr. Hamby died Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was a son of the late Major A. and Nancy Ann Savage Hamby. Mr. Hamby was a retired route salesman with Murray Biscuit Co, was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Zelma Hamby; son: Ronnie Hamby; daughters: Cynthia (Ken) Nettles and Patsy (Andy) Banco; sister: Connie Hoelscher; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tim Berry, 705 Edisto Street, Johnston, SC 29832.
