Trudy Walker Holmes

TRENTON – Mrs. Trudy Walker Holmes, 88, of Hwy 191, wife of the late Horace T. Holmes, Sr., died Thursday March 3, 2011 at Edgefield County Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held Monday March 7, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Holmes was a native of Oconee County and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and Partner in Eureka Farms.

Survivors include 2 sons- Walker Holmes, Joe Holmes; 1 Daughter- Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Holmes; 4 Grandsons- Lee Holmes, Toby Holmes, Curtis Holmes, Calvin Holmes, 5 Granddaughters- Allie Tronoski, Ryan Small, Hunter Holmes, Joannah Holmes, Callie Holmes; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Brother- Jerry Walker and 4 Sisters- Irene Brandon, Josephine Fisher, Frankie Reid, Barbara Ann Hill. Mrs. Holmes was predeceased by a son Horace T. (Tommy) Holmes, Jr.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 P.M. at the home.

Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
