Lucy Lybrand web posted November 29, 2009 JOHNSTON – Services for Mrs. Lucy Lybrand, age 88. will be held Monday, November 30,2009 at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church at 11 am. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall from 10 - 11 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lybrand, a native of Aiken County, died Saturday, November 28, 2009. She was a daughter of the late Fletcher and Mary Deaton Friar. Mrs. Lybrand was a former member of the Dogwood Garden Club, and the Eastern Star and was a member of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church where she attended the Adult Sunday School Class and the Johnston-Long Branch Circle. Survivors include her husband: Rufus Lybrand, Sr; son: Rev Rufus (Rammy) E. Lybrand, Jr. (Jackie) of Fort Mill, SC; daughter: Sandra K. Lybrand of Columbia; grandchildren: Mauri (Rob) Moser and Brett (Meg) Lybrand; great grandchildren: Gabriel and Naomi Moser. Memorials may be made to Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, 1186 Mt Calvary Road, Johnston, SC 29832.
