Roger Dale McGee

WARRENVILLE – Mr. Roger Dale McGee, 69, of
Warrenville, husband of Martha Kathryn Smith McGee, entered into
eternal rest on Monday March 29, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 3, 2010 at 3 P.M. at
Harmony United Methodist Church in Johnston with burial in the church
cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Mr. McGee was born on March 15, 1941 in Saluda, S.C. He was a resident
of Vaucluse and later Warrenville, S.C. He retired after 40 years from
Graniteville Co./ Avondale Mills. He was a member of the Masons, the
Shriner’s, Scottish Rites, and Eastern Star. He was an avid Bowler with
several Leagues in Aiken, Augusta, and North Augusta. He enjoyed
waterskiing and participated in shows with the Augusta Sportsman Ski
Club. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his family in which he was
able to visit 48 of the 50 States. He was a loving husband,
father, and friend to all.
Survivors include his wife, his son Roger Keith (Leslie) McGee,
Warrenville, 2 daughters- Kathryn Michelle (Tracy) Wright, Savannah,
and Kimberly Renee (Hamer Morris) McGee, Georgetown; his mother-
Frances McGee; Granchildren-Hannah and Sarah McGee, Caleb and Isabella
Wright, Aaron Owenby, Kaylan and Hamer Morris; Brother- Ronnie (Edna)
McGee, St. Mary’s Ga.; Sisters- Sandra (Robert) Taylor, Leesville,
Sally (Tom) Frazier, Aiken, Vonnie (Dana) Jackson, Edgefield;
sister-in-law- Betty (Dupre) Fulbright, Johnston;
brothers-in-law-Sammie (Harriette) Smith, New Holland, Walter (Doris)
Smith, Laurel Hill, Clyde (Anne) Smith, Johnston. He was predeceased by
his son Kevin Dale McGee, grandson-Graham Tracy Wright, his father-
Marvin McGee; in laws- Sam and Ruth Smith.
Memorials may be made to Myeloma Istitute for Research and Therapy,
4301 West Markham St. Slot # 816, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
The Family is at the home on Beech Island Ave. in Beech Island, S.C.
and will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edgefield
Mercantile Funeral Home.
