Mr. Harry W. Miller, Sr.

MERRIWETHER – Mr. Harry W. Miller, Sr., 83, of Martintown Rd., died Monday 10-13-08 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 10-16-08 at 11 A.M. at Republican Baptist Church with burial in the Church cemetery.

Mr. Miller was born in Edgefield County, S.C. and was a member of Republican Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.  He was a Navy Veteran of WW II. Mr. Miller was first married to the late Frances McClain Miller and then the late Virginia Medlock Miller. He was a lifelong farmer and was Retired from Dupont.

Survivors include 3 Daughters- Sue (Rick) Pruitt, Campobello, Gladys Spires, and Margaret Ann (Clay) Thompson, both of Edgefield. 3 Sons- Harry (Betty) Miller, Jr., Jim Ed (Cindy) Miller, Ricky (Renay) Miller, all of Edgefield. 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Republican Baptist Church Building Fund, 610 Republican Rd., Clarks Hill, S.C. 29821 or The Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1178 Greenwood, S.C. 29648.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
