Ruth Pruitt Mims web posted May 10, 2011 EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Ruth Pruitt Mims, 89, of Edgefield, wife of the late Clyde Edward Mims, Sr., died Sunday May 8, 2011 at University Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mims was a native of Edgefield County and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a Retired Textile Worker and a Homemaker. Survivors include 2 Daughters- Jean M. Hughes, Edgefield, Joyce M. Cook, North Augusta; 1 Son- Clyde Edward Mims, Jr., Edgefield; 13 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Mims was predeceased in death by a son Tal Mims and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 1843 Hwy 23 West Edgefield, S.C. 29824. The family is at “The Country” Hwy 23 West in Edgefield and will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. © Copyright 2011 All material is property of
