Lettie Crouch Morris

JOHNSTON – Funeral Services for Mrs. Lettie Crouch Morris, age 100, of Edisto Street, who entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, January 30, 2010 will be conducted Monday, February 1, 2010 at Bland Funeral Home Chapel at 3 o'clock with Rev. Thomas Barwick and Rev. Lowell Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Morris, a native of Saluda County, was the wife of the late George W. Morris and daughter of the late Martin Luther and Mamie Rankin Crouch. Mrs. Morris was born on October 24, 1909, was a homemaker, a member of Johnston First Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was affectionately known as Granny by her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter: Peggy (Jack) Reel; one grandchild, Gloria (Randy) Brown, Aiken; two great-grandchildren: Ashleigh (Brian) Gibbons and Benji Brown, all of Aiken; a sister: Julia Herndon, of West Columbia, formerly of Edgefield. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two children, Ralph W. Morris and an infant son, four sisters and five brothers. The family wishes to express their thanks to the Trinity Mission Health and Rehab staff of Edgefield and the Edgefield Medical Center doctors and staff for the tender loving care shown to their loved one. Memorials may be made to the Johnston First Baptist Church, 700 Church Street, Johnston, SC 29832
