Betty Nabritt Nickerson web posted April 8, 2010 NORTH AUGUSTA – Mrs. Betty Nabritt Nickerson, age 71, a native of North Augusta, SC, entered into rest March 31, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia. Born January 23, 1939, Mrs. Nickerson enjoyed singing, dancing, gardening, sewing, interior decorating/designing and traveling. She loved spending time with her children, family as well as meeting and talking to people. She also had an eye for fancy clothes which she often loved to customize. Many considered her a second mother and she was a friend to anyone. Mrs. Nickerson retired from West Lake Manor Nursing Facility as a CNA in 2008 where she was loved by her patients and co-workers. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church as well as an active participant at Hammond Grove Baptist Church. Those who shared the joy of her life and treasure her memories are her children, Angela D. Nickerson, Atlanta, GA, Jack (Loretta) Nickerson, III, Augusta, Joan R. Nickerson, North Augusta, SC, Joshlun N. Dixon, Greenville, SC and Roderick (Alanna) Nickerson, Augusta; grandchildren, Branden (Jamie) Nickerson, Courtney Dixon and Myiah Nickerson; siblings, Eugene (Anita) Nabritt, Jimmy (Daisy) Nabritt, Alice McKie, Judy (Anthony) Colbert and Pauline Nabritt; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many devoted friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Bethlehem Baptist Church, 815 Murrah Road, North Augusta, SC with Reverend Arthur Kemp officiating. Interment will be in Hammond Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, 2010 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call the residence or W. H.
