Mike Norman

EDGEFIELD – Memorial Services for Mr. Mike Norman, 61, of Garrett Road, Edgefield, SC, who entered into rest peacefully at home June 10, 2009 after a long illness, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Lynda Sims, Chaplain Alliance Hospice officiating. Mr. Norman was a native of Wisconsin, a former resident of Panama, having made Edgefield County his home since 2000. He was a former U.S. Army Veteran and Civil Service retiree, who worked on the Panama Canal for 25 years. Mr. Norman was an avid deep sea fisherman and upon retiring enjoyed living in the country. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Susan F. Norman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Angelica Norman, Marietta, GA and Daniel and Susan Norman, Charlottesville, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Sue Norman, Linn Creek, MO; five grandchildren, Jax, Matthew, Nicole, Benjamin and Valerie Norman. The family will receive friends at the residence following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 3630 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Augusta, GA 30909.
