Cora Padgett web posted July 26, 2006 JOHNSTON – Funeral Services for Mrs. Cora Padgett will be held 2:00p.m. today, Wednesday, at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church , Johnston, with the Rev. Lewis Burt and Rev. Eldwin Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Church cemetery. Viewing will begin today at 10:00 am. Sis. Padgett will lie in state at the church beginning at 1:00 pm the day of the service. Survivors include, her loving husband, James Padgett; three sons, Willie James Padgett,(Brenda), Trenton, SC, Anthony Padgett, (Jeanette) Aiken, SC, and Kenneth Padgett, (Sheila), Johnston, SC; three daughters, Shirley Mealing, (Alfred) Edgefield, SC, Carol Padgett, North Augusta, SC, and Sharon Clarke, (James), Johnston, SC; two brothers, Willie James Miles, (Ruth)Johnston, SC, and Johnny Miles, Jr. ,.Miami, FL and four sisters, Ida Williams, Graniteville, SC, Ella Mae Henson, (Sammie) and Frances Stafford, Both of Washington, DC, and Gladys Grace, (Alphonzo) Johnston, SC; eight grandchildren andthree great-grandchildren.
