O’Dell Pearsonweb posted January 6, 2009 MCCORMICK – Mr. James O’Dell Pearson, 81, of Callison Hwy, husband of Grace Wilson Pearson, died Monday 1-5-2009 at Hospice House in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 1-8-09 at 11 A.M. at Rehoboth Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Mr. Pearson was a native of McCormick, S.C. and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. He retired from Milliken Textile after 44 years of service. He was a WW II Navy Veteran and was a member of the Caldwell Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, 1 daughter- Ann P. Proett, Orangeburg, 3 Sons- Jeff Pearson, Troy, Jimmy Pearson, Mt. Pleasant, and Bill Pearson, Yorktown, Va., 1 Sister- Vivian P. Smith, Raleigh, N.C., 1 Brother- Howell Pearson, Charlotte, N.C., 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander St. Greenwood, S.C. 29646. The family is at the home of Lib Padgett on Gilchrist Rd. and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
