Born Sadie Virginia Percival on May 22nd, 1939 to Frank and Sara Percival in Edgefield, South Carolina; all that knew her, called her “Perci”.  Perci graduated from Edgefield High School in 1957.

She attended Nursing School at the Medical University of South Carolina where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1959. Perci met Larry Worden in Charleston and they married in 1961. Later they moved to Berkley, MI where they settled until 1976 until they moved to Summerville, SC with their three children. Perci and Larry divorced in 1978.

Perci spent her entire adult life as a caregiver. When she retired from nursing, in 2006, she provided live-in care for her ailing best friend and then her mother until her own condition prevented her from continuing. Perci was talented in drama, music and dance. She often played the piano and enjoyed teaching the piano to her grandchildren. She had a genuine love for music. She especially enjoyed listening to Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole.

Perci was a competitive ballroom and shag dancer until 2003 when she discovered the Argentine Tango. She devoted much of her spare time in the last eight years to pursuing the joy of the Argentine Tango. She also spent time creating arts and crafts with her grandchildren.

Perci is survived by her mother, Sara Percival; her sister, Faye Parks and her brother, David Percival. She is also survived by her children: Robin Rast and her husband, Bert of Atlanta, GA; Erica Bowen and her husband, Rich of Annapolis, MD; Major Gregory Worden and his wife Doreen of Augusta, GA. Perci had four grandchildren that she adored: Sarah Rast, Austin Worden, Rebecca Rast and Alysha Worden. She was also a proud aunt to her niece, Heather Peele and her children; Christian, Britnee and Autumn. Her father, Frank Percival and her sister Frankie Percival have preceded her in death.
