Winifred Trotter Reames

JOHNSTON – Funeral Services for Mrs. Winifred Trotter Reames, 79, will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Johnston First Baptist Church at 11 am with burial to follow in Mt of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm. Mrs. Reames, a native of Saluda County, died Monday, December 21, 2009. She was a daughter of the late Ernest and Leona Rodgers Trotter. Mrs. Reames retired as a Bookkeeper with Globe Finance Co., was a faithful member of Johnston First Baptist, the Gleaners Sunday School Class, Frances West Circle and sang in the Chancel Choir. Survivors include Sons: Marion Reames, Jr. of Savannah, Ga,; Charles (Janet) Reames, Johnston; Michael Reames, Columbia; Daughter: Dianne (Buzzy) Johnson, Augusta, Ga; Brothers: Truman, Heyward, and Ansel Trotter; Sister: Doris Platts; grandchildren: Lauren and Mallory Reames, Hunter (Jessica) Johnson and Benton Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Billy Trotter and sister, Ethel Banks. Memorials may be made to Johnston First Baptist Church, 700 Church Street, Johnston, SC 29832.
