Otis L. Rhodes web posted December 26, 2009 MERRIWETHER – Mr. Otis L. Rhodes, Jr., 71, of Currytown Rd., Husband of the late Margaret Hazel Sheppard Rhodes, died Thursday 12-24-2009 at Edgefield County Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 12-27-2009 at 2 P.M. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Rhodes was a native of Edgefield County and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. He served in the S. C. National Guard and was retired from the S. & S. Truck Stop after 45 years of service. Survivors include 2 daughters- Debbie (Rocky) McKie, Donna (Scott) Sherman, both of North Augusta; 2 sons- Chris (Nancy) Rhodes, Edgefield, John (Sandra) Hanyok, North Augusta. 2 Brothers- Watson Rhodes, Johnston, Coy Lowman, Aiken. 7 Grandchildren- Ashlie, Melissa, Megan, Scott, Derek, Katie, John Michael. 1 Great-Grandson- Trent. Memorials may be made to Sweetwater Baptist Church Building Fund, 198 Sweetwater Rd. North Augusta, S.C. 29860. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M.
