Natalee Swearingen Rice

EDGEFIELD – Mrs. Natalee Swearingen Rice, 80, of Hwy 25 North, died Tuesday June 29, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rice was a native of Edgefield County and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She was retired from Crest Manufacturing Company. She was the daughter of the late Walter Hugh and Bessie B. Seigler.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Rice, Orangeburg, 1 Daughter- Margaret S. Rhoden, Johnston; 1 Son- Hugh (Debbie) Swearingen, Edgefield; 2 Sisters- Clare Gilchrist, McCormick, Virginia Carroll, John’s Island; 2 Brothers- Andrew Seigler, Lincolnton, Ga., Perry Seigler, , Edgefield; 5 Grandchildren- Kevin, Chad, Hugh, Kim, and Scotty, and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Rice was predeceased by her first husband George W. Swearingen.

Memorials may be made to Johnston First Baptist Church, 700 Church St. Johnston, S.C. 29832.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
