Catherine Elizabeth "Cathy" Shuford web posted January 23, 2010 MERRIWETHER – Funeral Services for Miss Catherine Elizabeth "Cathy" Shuford, 55, of Springhaven Drive, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest January 21, 2010, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Earl Carter officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Miss Shuford was a lifelong resident of North Augusta, a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church, the Women's Sunday School Class and retired from the Family Dollar Store where she was the Floor Supervisor. Miss Shuford was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Shuford. Survivors include her parents, E. C. and Patricia Shuford, North Augusta; three brothers, David Shuford, Paul Shuford and Elum "Skipper" Shuford, all of North Augusta; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Rachels, North Augusta; 8 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roger Adams, Ted Stephens, Gerald Stephens, Alva Stephens, Mark Stephens and Greg Shuford . The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5.
