Kay Karon Taylor

AIKEN – With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing Kay Karon Taylor, 46, on Friday, January 8, 2010 at her residence. A native and life long resident of Aiken, Kay was a daughter of Cathy and Billy Taylor. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Kay was a devoted school teacher at J.E.T. Middle School in Edgefield, where she was dearly loved by her students and faculty, and a formerly taught at Kennedy Middle School in Aiken. She believed in God and worshiped him at Millbrook Baptist Church and Cedar Creek Church. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Stuart Taylor of Aiken, her mother and father, Cathy and Billy Taylor of Aiken, two brothers; Michael Taylor of Columbia and Charles Patrick (April) Taylor of Aiken, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with The Rev. Carl Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
