Elizabeth Gardner Wise

TRENTON – Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner Wise, 98, of Trenton, wife of the late Paul G. Wise, died Saturday, February 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15,2 011 at 4 p.m. at Edgefield First Baptist Church with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Trenton, S.C. Mrs. Wise was a native of Edgefield County and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. She was a retired lunch room supervisor at Trenton School and was the owner of Wise Acres Peach Stand. She was also a Homemaker. Survivors include 1 daughter - Betty Miller Wise Jackson and her husband Cylde R. Jackson III, Trenton; 3 Grandchildren - Clyde R. Jackson, IV, Lexington, Jan Hodges Burch and Paula Jackson Herz, both of Augusta; 2 Great-Grandchildren - Nicole Christine Jackson and Sophie Kathryn Herz. Mrs. Wise was predeceased by her brother Claude Shaw Gardner and a sister Annie Mae Wise. Memorials may be made to Wardlaw Academy Advancement Fund, 1296 Columbia Road, Johnston, S.C., 29832. The family is at the home of Betty and Clyde Jackson, III and will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Home.
