James Everette Yonce, Jr.

JOHNSTON – Private services for Mr. James
Everette Yonce, Jr., age 81, will be held for the immediate family at
Mt. of Olives Cemetery Mausoleum, Friday, September 19, 2008. Memorials
may be made to Johnston United Methodist Church, Att: Lila Holmes, P.O.
Box 186, Johnston, SC 29832. The family is at the home, 110 Monument
Drive. Bland Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Yonce, a native of Johnston, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008. He
was a son of the late James Everette, Sr. and Pearle Satcher Yonce. Mr.
Yonce was a graduate of Clemson University where he was a member of the
Senior Tiger Platoon and the Perishing Rifle Drill Team. He was a
retired Postal Employee with the US Post Office in Johnston and was a
member of Johnston United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife:
Lavinia Lee Yonce; daughter: Cynthia (Sandi) Yonce McGee; sons: James
Everette (Jimmy) Yonce, III and Walter (Wally) S. Yonce; brother: John
Preston Yonce, Sr.; and 5 grandchildren. The Yonce Family would like to
extend a special "thank you" to the Pastor and church family of
Johnston United Methodist Church for all the love and care shown during
their loved one's illness and also to Hospice Care of Edgefield for
their special care and concern.
