Mama's
Truck to distribute food on Saturday
web posted January 30, 2006 EDGEFIELD – Charlie and Patricia Wilson will be holding their “Mama’s Truck” food give-away again on Saturday, February 4, 2006, feeding hundreds of families in Edgefield County with 5,000 pounds of food. Mama’s Truck, sponsored by the Wilson’s in co-operation with the Golden Harvest Food Bank, delivers the food once a month to Edgefield County’s elderly and needy. The distribution centers for February 4 are from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Country Manor, 191 W. A. Reel Drive (just off the by-pass by the Edgefield County Hospital). After deliveries to the elderly the Mama’s Truck relocates to 257 Lanier Road in Johnston from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Each family will be given a bag of fresh vegetables and bread. Volunteers to help in the distribution may call 803-275-4322 for more information. Donations to support Mama’s Truck may be sent to Alpha & Omega Ministries Mama’s Truck, 30 Skyview Road, Trenton SC, 29847. 100% of donations go towards the purchase of food Mrs. Wilson said. For
