  Rep. Barrett asks for letters to wounded soldiers By: Rep. Gresham Barrett web posted December 13, 2007 PSA – During the holiday season, I invite you to help me extend a warm holiday wish to our South Carolina wounded warriors. As you and your loved ones are celebrating the season, I encourage you to join me in offering a simple thanks to our active duty hospitalized soldiers who are not able to go home for the holidays. Please take a few moments over the next few weeks to write or email a personal message of thanks and appreciation to a wounded soldier. Please mail your letters to my Aiken District Office at the address below or send an email greeting that will be printed on holiday paper here. I will be visiting military medical centers in South Carolina at the end of December and will hand deliver these Holiday Thank You cards to our brave heroes. Our U.S. soldiers serve our country to provide this generation and generations to come with the unlimited freedoms we have as Americans. These military men and women and their families have sacrificed so much to preserve the rights we all enjoy. There is no better time of year than now to let them know they are in our hearts and prayers. I hope that this season brings wonderful times and bright memories to you and your loved ones. Let us not forgot those who have sacrificed so much for the sake of so many - join me in saying “Thanks” to our military men and women. Sincerely, J.
