Promised
Sweetwater Road zoning questionnaire still not drafted Edgefielddaily.com web posted April 7, 2005 Staff reporting The Planning Commission has not issued the promised letters polling Sweetwater Road property owners on the proposed zoning for the area. At the last Planning Commission meeting Mr. Wayne Raiford asked if the commission could poll affected property owners by letter to get the opinions of as many as possible before continuing and the commission agreed. Director of Building and Planning Howard Gibson stated he would draft the letter after he returned from a planned trip. That was weeks ago. We inquired with Mr. Gibson if the letter had been drafted on Monday April 4, “I haven’t written the letter yet,” Gibson said. “We are kind of letting things die down a bit first,” he said. He also said he was sorting through what ways to pose the questions and what questions should be asked. Mr. Gibson also asked that people send him questions they would like asked. Residents can call the office at 803-637-4073 or e-mail hgibson@edgefieldcounty.sc.gov . The Planning Commission will hold its next scheduled meeting on April 14, 2005, at 6:30 pm at the Council Chambers on Jeter Street in Edgefield. The commission plans to bring the zoning issue up again in May as stated in last months meeting.
