School registration begins next week Edgefielddaily.com web posted July 20, 2005 EDGEFIELD- Summer is almost over: School registration begins next week The 2005-2006 school year is about to begin and registration for all local schools will be held starting next week. The official first day of school is August 8. 2005. Edgefield Daily.com has compiled a list of registration times and the student lists of supplies. Below are the dates of registration for each school: Douglas Elementary Parents and students can pre-register, pay fees, and obtain class assignments. July 28 8:30 am - 12 Noon 1 pm - 3 pm Instructional Fee: $25 Johnston Elementary Meet your teacher and fill out paper work, pay fees and receive class assignments. August 3 August 4 and 5 parents may register in office, but teachers will not be available. 1 pm - 6 pm Instructional Fee: $25 Merriwether Elementary Parents and students can pre-register, pay fees, and visit classrooms. August 5 Kindergarten - 8:30 am Grades 1-5 - 9 am - 12 noon Instructional Fee: $25 W. E. Parker Elementary Parents and students can pre-register, pay fees, and visit schedules. August 4 Kindergarten - 8:30 am Grades 1-5 - 9 am - 12 noon Instructional Fee: $25 JET Middle Parents and students can pre-register, pay fees, and obtain class assignments. 6th graders - July 18 7th graders - July 19 8th graders - July 20 9 am - 4:30 pm Instructional Fee: $25 Locker Fee: $3 Merriwether Middle Parents and students can pre-register, pay fees, and obtain class schedules. 6th graders - July 26 7th graders - July 27 8th graders - July 27 10 am - 3 pm Instructional Fee: $25 Locker Fee: $3 Strom Thurmond High / Strom Thurmond Career Seniors - July 25 Juniors - July 26 Sophomore - July 27 Freshmen - July 28 August 2 - Students New to the District and Make-ups 9 am - 1 pm each day Instructional Fee: $25 Locker Fee: $2 Parking Permit Fee: $20 Driver's Ed Fee: $100 List of school supplies may be found by following this link Return to Main Page
