  Roberson tapped as new School Superintendent web posted March 28, 2007 JOHNSTON – The Edgefield County School Board made it official Tuesday night, Dr. Frank Roberson will take over as the Edgefield County Superintendent of Schools. He will take over from Dr. Sharon Keesley who announced her retirement last year, which takes effect in June. The school board was not unanimous on its decision with board member Brad Covar voting no in a 5 to 1 vote. School Board member Andy Livingston was not present at the meeting. Mr. Covar was unable to be reached for comment after the meeting about his opposing vote. The School Board will now begin a search to fill the position of assistant superintendent left open by appointing Dr. Roberson to fill Dr. Keesley’s position. Some names of possible candidates have been rumored to have an inside track on the job. For
