Narcotics Investigators, SWAT raid Eastview Road home web posted January 27, 2009 EDGEFIELD – The Edgefield County SWAT Team along with the Sheriff’s Narcotics conducted a narcotics search warrant on an Eastview Road home Thursday afternoon that led to one arrest with additional charges pending. Manley Hewit Crawford, 52, was arrested after the raid discovered “a quantity” of what is believed to be marijuana found in various locations in the home. Investigators and SWAT members spent almost two hours searching the home after the 4 pm raid. The investigation is ongoing. The amount of the suspected drugs seized was not released. According to the report from the lead narcotics investigator, there was no cash confiscated. The suspected drugs were in the process of being tested at the Sheriff’s Office. There were no indications of what additional charges would be sought in the case. © Copyright 2009
