Sheriff Dobey thanks those who aided in search and rescue of 9 year old

PSA – Sheriff Dobey and the Officers and staff of the Edgefield County Sheriff s Office would like to extend special thanks to the following people who were involved in the search and rescue of 9-year-old Caleb Cummings.

The South Carolina Search and Rescue Dog Association whose members responded from as far away as Asheville, NC and Charleston SC., Chief Faye Fulmer and all the members of the Merriwether Fire Department, Chief Tim Malcom and members of the County Line Fire Department, and all of the citizen volunteers who donated their time and resources to help with the search.

The Sheriff would also like to thank the following law enforcement agencies for their help in the search: the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Johnston Police Department, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, and Lt. Michael Frank with the Aiken county Sheriff’s Office.
