Car reported stolen on Ridge Road web posted March 25, 2006 JOHNSTON – A Johnston woman told Police she came home after being out with friends and noticed her car in the parking lot in front of her Ridge Road apartment around 11:00 pm Thursday night. When she awoke at 3:45 am she looked out and the car was gone. The woman said her 2005 gold Pontiac Grand Am, valued at around $16,000, had been repeatedly missing valve stem covers over the recent past and that she has had a problem with someone “snooping around her car.” One time she was able to scare them off by turning on the porch light. The woman’s ex-boyfriend was also listed on the car and stated he did not know anything about the car being missing. According to incident reports, the woman said she was one payment late on the car and had one due and that both were scheduled to be made on March 27. The Sheriff’s Deputy inquired how someone obtained the keys to the car since her home was not broken into. She suggested that someone came over while she was gone and ente3red her unlocked apartment and took the keys off the kitchen table, which is in “plain view”. The car has been placed on NCIC as stolen and the case has been passed on to investigators with the Sheriff’s Office For
