Hunting camp burglarized web posted March 31, 2006 EDGEFIELD – A caretaker of property located on Lewis Lane reported to the Sheriff’s Office that a burglary had taken place. The property is a hunting camp off of Highway 378 and three structures had been broken into. When the investigator arrived he found the doors to the three dwellings had the door knobs smashed with some type of object in order to gain entry. The suspect(s) then rummaged through the buildings. The dwellings were fingerprinted and evidence was collected. The last time the property had been checked was on March 17th and it is unknown when between the 17th and the report on the 29th the burglary took place. The property was secured by the officer and the caretaker until the owner of the property could be contacted. The owner lives in Anderson County. The case is still under investigation. Once identified the person or persons involved will face charges of scond degree burglary. For
