Police still seeking second armed robbery suspect web posted April 23, 2007 COUNTY – The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office is still trying to locate Keith Rocquell Thomas, 17, of Academy Estates in Bettis Academy in connection to an early Friday morning armed robbery of an elderly Trenton couple. Thomas is described as a black male, about 6 foot tall, slender build, weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. Rio Tyrone Bing, 20, of Bettis Academy Road is already in custody in connection to the case. Bing and Thomas are accused of holding an elderly Trenton couple at gunpoint, and firing at least one shot during the commission of the crime police say, before making off with several guns, cash, and the couple’s car. Deputies spotted the car a few hours later on Highway 25 and gave pursuit until the two men crashed the car and escaped on foot. Bing was taken into custody by later in the day and is still being held at the Edgefield County Detention Center. If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Keith Rocquell Thomas you are asked to call the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office at 803-637-5337 or 803-278-1625. You do not need to reveal your identity to provide information. Both men face charges of burglary in the first degree, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, grand larceny, and two counts each of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Authorities are investigating whether charges for kidnapping may apply to the case. For
