Sheriff's Department quickly solves another burglary

Edgefielddaily.com
web posted July  27, 2005

MERRIWETHER - The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department solved another burglary in quick fashion with the arrest of David Keith Buff, 21, of the 100 block of Briggs Haven Circle in Merriwether.

According to police reports Mr. Buff was charged with second degree burglary and grand larceny more than $1000 but less than $5000. “It appears (Mr. Buff) had broken into the home of a neighbor Friday,” Investigator Randy Doran told Edgefield Daily.com. Deputies were in the process of recovering some of the stolen goods Tuesday shortly after Mr. Buff’s arrest.

Deputies said Mr. Buff had just recently moved to the Briggs Haven Circle area, located just off Briggs Road, a few months ago. The investigation is still ongoing and the items stolen were not listed in the arrest report.

This is the second burglary the department has solved in short order, the last coming with the arrest of Sabrina Maria Parker, 33, of the 600 Block of Springhaven Dr. who was also charged with breaking into the house of a neighbor. Both Mrs. Parker and Mr. Buff remain in police custody at this writing.
