Sheriff’s Department continues making
arrests for drugs Edgefielddaily.com web posted August 24, 2005 The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Greenwood County man and charged him with possession with intent to distribute both marijuana and crack cocaine. Jamie Lamont Norman, 26, of the 1000 block of Reynolds Street, Greenwood was taken into custody by narcotics investigators on Thursday, August 19, 2005. Mr. Norman has also been charged with an open container violation as well as resisting arrest. Officers also seized approximately $615 in cash. Sheriff Dobey said, “This arrest is just part of our ongoing effort to keep illegal drugs off of our streets. I would encourage all of our citizens to contact the Sheriff’s Office if they have any information on illegal drug activity in Edgefield County.” Citizens may call the Sheriff’s Office at 803-637-5337 or 803-278-1625 with information and may remain anonymous.
